Always be in the habit of reviewing the summary of scriptures for each month. This helps worship designers anticipate the high and low points of the year with which Christian worship connects.
See below a summary of scriptures for the weeks of each month.
The Seeker Cycle numbers the weeks (1 – 52) starting with the first week in January. Remember that some months have 4 or 5 Sundays in any given year. Just move to the previous month or next month to find the next consecutive week.
Although the scriptures remain the same in the annual cycle, the commentary each year will focus them differently. You will see the commentary for the current year and previous years so that you can use them all for worship preparation if you wish.
Remember to target the public you want to reach; and identify the blessing you hope to impart through God’s grace.
