Consultation Tools Used by Our Consultants
The following three tools were developed by Easum, Bandy & Associates and have been used by us in over a thousand congregations. They are considered by many to be the best tools availble for assessing congregations.
The Congregational Mission Assessment (CMA) by Tom Bandy is published by Abingdon Press as part of the “Kicking Habits” trilogy that includes the basic text describing the systemic change for thriving churches (Kicking Habits Upgrade); the study guide for small group use (Coming Clean); and the assessment tool itself (Facing Reality). This is particularly helpful with churches that have been on a plateau or in decline for some time. (Note: the current version of the assessment tool is only available from EBA digitally. The revised print edition is currently in progress with Abingdon Press for release in 2008.)
The Complete Ministry Audit by Bill Easum is published by Abingdon Press and is best completed while reading Unfreezing Moves. This is particularly helpful with churches that are transitioning through a brief plateau, and are looking for the next steps toward growth. The book includes a CD ROM to help collate data.
The Vision Discernment Process by Tom Bandy is a comprehensive, consultative experience that builds clarity and consensus around the congregational identity of core values, bedrock beliefs, motivating vision, and key mission.
Demographics and Lifestyles. We also encourage churches to purchase a demographic study from Missioninsite. If you choose for us to do it for you the charge is $400.
