The New Reformation

The New Reformation: Returning the Ministry to the People of God

The New Reformation: Returning the Ministry to the People of God, by Greg Ogden. 1990, 224 pages. Obtain from Zondervan Publishing House.

This is the best book I have read to date on the ministry of the laity. If you can read just one book on the subject, read this one. It is a downright gem. It pulls no punches and lays out a clear and convincing picture of the role of both laity and clergy. It breaks down many of the barriers to ministry that the institutional church has put up over the years. Any church wanting to rediscover the biblical role of the priesthood of the believer will find this book very instructive and liberating
