Transformational Learning Moments

There are three major learning moments in the process of transforming a congregation. The first is when the pastor and those leaders with transformational leverage in the congregation agree that what the congregation has been doing since 1965 no longer works. The second is when the church board approves a transformational mission plan. The third is when the plan gets implemented enough to click with the congregation and they become passionate for its success.

Of course, most effective pastors will tell you that life is on constant learning experience now and it is not unusual for a pastor to retool four or five times in their ministry.
