Time Management

  1. The best time management tool is being clear in my mission, vision and values. I keep asking my self questions like: Will this help people meet, know and serve Jesus? Will this provide a warm, welcoming environment in which people can hear, consider and respond to Jesus? Will this put people in the seats or help bring them back? Laser-like focus on the 20% of things that will bring 80% of the results I am looking for has been key.
  2. Wayne Cordeiro has a workbook entitled "Time Management for Leaders" that is  first rate. You can get it through the New Hope Resources folks at  http://www.enewhope.org
  3. My advice would be to go to www.davidco.com  and check out everything that David Allen says. Then buy his Managing Actions and Projects tapes and put them into practice. I have read all the Covey and been to Franklin training, but David Allen's ideas are the best for actually doing something about all the stuff you have to do.
