Salaries

  1. Christianity Today has a number of good articles on salary and staff compensation at: www.ChristianityToday.com/cgi/texis/webinator/search4/?query=salary+survey ( http://www.enn0.com/i.cfm?DID=190805&UID=45549255&MID=235314  )
  2. The National Association of Church Business Administrators (www.nacba.net ( http://www.enn0.com/i.cfm?DID=190806&UID=45549255&MID=235314 ))
  3. The Institute for Church Leadership (www.iclonline.com ( www.enn0.com/i.cfm ))
  4. The United Methodist General Council on Finance and Administration has excellent information on this subject. And you don't have to be UM to use it! Find GCFA at www.gcfa.org.  When on the site, choose "pastors" on the left hand side, then choose "tax information." It has information for both pastors and non-ordained local church employees. Information about housing (allowances and parsonages), about auto expenses (both allowances and reimbursements), about accountable reimbursement plans, etc. etc. etc. A wealth of information! Free! And worthwhile!
  5. Leadership Network - Leadership Network does an informal survey
through participants in its  forums for large churches (attendance of 1,000 or more). For more information, contact LN Customer Service. The price is $69.95. www.leadnet.org
