Showing the Passion of Christ

Churches can show publicly THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST legally by obtaining a Public Performance License.  This Annual License enables a church to use the “Home Use Only” DVD or Videocassettes, purchased from retail stores.  

This Annual License only covers public showings of THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST.  

The pricing of this Public Performance License is listed below:

  For church audiences up to 1,000 the price is       $10.00.  

All other pricing:

  Audiences 1,001 to 2000   $150.00  
  Audiences 2,001 to 3000   $200.00  
  Audiences 3,001 to 4000   $250.00  
  Audiences 4,001 and above   $300.00

Regarding advertising your showing - once you have purchased the Public Performance License, a link is provided to download a graphic to help promote your showing.  (We also have 11” x 14” size posters for purchase at a cost of $3.00 each.)  You may do a mailing, hand out flyers and list the event on your church marquee or in your church bulletin.  The studios however prohibit advertising in your newspaper (unless it is in the religious section as a church announcement), TV and radio.
