Uncommon Lectionary
From Tom Bandy
Here is the crux of the difference between the common and uncommon lectionary process. The common lectionary encourages worship to be a "stand alone" disconnected with spiritual growth and mission action. Churches using it today tend to see their people in sunday worship, later in committee and task group life ... but relatively few are in Bible Study and mission action. The uncommon lectionary is the opposite. It is designed for a discipling process in which worship does not stand alone ... and you see your people both in worship AND in spiritual disciplines and partnerships and mission activiites through the week.
The Uncommon Lectionary is part of the EBA Community and is contributed to weekly by a host of participants. To participate join the EBA Commmunity. click here
