Horizons Inc., led by Clif Christopher, assists churches in stewardship, capital fund raising, and endowment development. Horizons is a consulting firm that assists churches in accomplishing their dreams. After a church has a vision of new facilities, enlarged mission, increased evangelism, or new programming, Horizons helps chart the path that makes the dream a reality. This may involve fund raising, long range planning, staff reorganizations, or program development.

• Capital Fund Campaigns:
  Generally a three to four month campaign designed to raise funds for a very specific project.
• Church Growth Consultation:
  Following an extensive review of data provided by the church, the consultant will spend at least three days on site. After discussions with the pastor, lay leaders, and congregation, a written evaluation is given, along with recommendations for church growth.
• Endowment Programs:
  This is a new idea for many churches but needed by almost all of them. Combining capital fund methods with planned giving education, Horizons can help your church solve many problems with endowments.
• Building Consultation
• Combination Consults:
  Horizons' unique multidimensional ability allows them to combine any of the above services to help a church. For instance, you may need building consultation, followed by a capital campaign to fund the facility, plus a review of church staff or the facility. Horizons can give you everything in one package.

Director: Clif Christopher cchristopher@horizonsstewardship.com Clif founded Horizons in 1992 following a challenging career in pastoral ministry and stewardship consulting. As a pastor, he led six major building and capital campaigns and relocated two congregations. Twice he took churches averaging 200 in worship to an average of 450. In 22 years of pastoral service in four different churches he never had a year in which membership, worship attendance and church school attendance did not rise. His congregations generally averaged nearly twice the denominational average in per capita giving. In 1996 he was one of only ten who received the Circuit Rider Citation from his denomination for creating vital congregations and faithful disciples. Clif is a certified church growth consultant and a member of the National Society of Fundraising Executives. In the past five years Clif has helped secure over 30 million dollars for congregations wanting to "See Beyond Where They Are". Clif shares four children with his wife in Cabot, Arkansas.

The Horizons Team:
When you call Horizons, you get the advice, wisdom, and skills of numerous professionals who serve on the Horizons Team. Persons in the fields of architecture, building, banking, financial planning, evangelism, printing, stewardship, administration, church growth, and planned giving stand ready to help you solve your problems. These persons meet as needed to review each client's concerns. Strategies in how to combat the problems are prepared and presented back to the church.

At other times, Reverend Christopher or one of the consultants may simply call in a member of the team to deal one on one with a specific issue of the church. A pastor who sought out Horizons referred to the company as a "one-stop shop." We like that reference. Horizons may be the place you should check with first. They just may have what you need. Mistakes made when building or financing can have a devastating effect on a church's future. We can help you avoid the potholes.

How Horizons is paid:
When you interview Horizons for a capital campaign, you will be told exactly what your expenses will be. A flat fee is always given up front for all services. This fee is determined by the size of the church desiring help. All expenses, such as travel, meals, lodging and materials are included in the fee.

During a capital campaign, the fee will be partially paid with the contract and then paid out in four equal payments during the campaign. This is to allow the campaign to help underwrite the expense so the church will not have to use other funds. If needed, other special arrangements can be made.

For other consultations, the fee is set up front on an hourly or daily basis. Once your need is diagnosed, a cost is agreed upon. Again, all expenses will be included.

Bible based:
"Fund raising" and "fund raising for churches" are not always synonymous. Horizons only works with churches and only uses approaches that are Biblically sound. In all ways Biblical stewardship is the guide we follow -- not fancy gimmicks. Your church will feel good when we leave.

Services guaranteed:
We feel confident in our ability to meet your needs. If, for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with the services rendered, a full and complete refund will be given back to your congregation. After all, serving the Church is our business. If you aren't well served, we shouldn't be paid!
