Director and Consultant: Jim Griffith
Jim has coached over 100 different congregations and trained hundreds of church planting coaches. He also has conducted over 250 personal ministry profiles of clergy seeking to better leverage their gifts for leadership in ministry. He assesses, trains, and coaches emerging congregations and their leaders.

Before coaching full-time, Jim planted and pastored five churches, in five areas of the country, over a twenty-year period. Previous to that, he served as Director of the original Son City Youth ministry, the precursor to Willow Creek Community Church. His vast experiences and intuitive skills have contributed to Jim becoming the church leader's "paraclete;" a mantle he wears with infectious enthusiasm.

Consultation Approach
Jim understands the importance of matching the church and the pastor with the culture in which they find themselves. Jim works hard to "customize" the church to its environment, with you and your leadership team. The methodology works in two stages:

Stage 1:
After an initial phone conversation, Jim visits the project on-site (usually a two or three day visit), meets with the clergy and spouse, leadership team members, and anyone else. Jim attends your service, when applicable, and gives feedback based on his observations. This also allows Jim to determine whether or not he can help you long-term and whether you think he can help you. At the end of your visit, Jim will send you a 3-4 page digest of the Ministry Audit evaluation with recommendations and suggestions as to strategic decisions. If you determine you would like to proceed in a coaching relationship with Jim, then you move to stage two.

Stage 2:
Involves determining with you what the coaching process will look like and Jim's coaching you through it. Coaching consists primarily of unlimited e-mail and periodic conference calls. Coaching is more relationship than anything else, and Jim values the people with whom God has asked him to work.

The time frame for this stage covers a minimum of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Committing to stage 1 doesn't obligate you to continue on to stage 2. Fees are customized to the requirements of the project.
